Divine Acceleration

Good morning, brethren, I would like to share briefly on the topic: “Divine acceleration.” By definition, divine acceleration refers to when God supernaturally speeds up processes in our lives, restoring lost time, opportunities, or progress, and aligning events for the rapid fulfillment of His promises. It’s important to understand that God can restore not only things, but also time. Divine acceleration compresses time, turning delays into sudden breakthroughs. As Joel 2:25–26 says “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten… You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God.” One remarkable example is Elijah in 1 Kings 18:44–46. When the hand of the Lord came upon him, Elijah outran King Ahab’s chariot to the entrance of Jezreel. This was not natural—it was supernatural speed. It shows that when God empowers a man, he can accomplish in moments what would take others years. Another example is Joseph. In Genesis 41, we read how Pharaoh sent for Joseph, brought him quickly out of prison, and promoted him to second in command over Egypt. In a single day, Joseph went from the dungeon to the palace. God compressed years of preparation into one defining moment.

The widow of Zarephath also experienced divine acceleration (1 Kings 17:8–16). Her last meal, which she believed would be her final, became the beginning of divine sustenance. Her flour and oil never ran dry throughout the drought, as she stepped into supernatural provision. Jesus first miracle at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1–11), where He turned water into wine, also reflects divine acceleration is not just in speed, but in quality. God elevated the outcome beyond natural expectations. Then there was the miraculous catch of fish (Luke 5:1–11 and John 21). After the disciples had laboured all night without result, one word from Jesus led to an overwhelming harvest. This proves that what we can’t accomplish by effort alone, God can bring about suddenly. There are few principles of divine acceleration, obedience is very important, Mary said to Jesus’s Disciples “Do whatever He tells you.”(John 2:5). Faith is another principle, learn to trust in God’s ability to redeem lost time. (Hebrews 11:6). Stay in God’s timing and presence. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) and Serve humbly for what you sow in one season may reap faster than expected. Why is divine acceleration important? For God to fulfil His covenant promises (Genesis 18:14), to redeem lost time and opportunities, to position His people for influence and purpose, to demonstrate His glory and sovereignty over natural laws.

In Conclusion, know this that God is never late. What could take a lifetime, He can accomplish in a moment. So remain patient and faithful. “The vision is yet for an appointed time… Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.” (Habakkuk 2:3). Let us be encouraged, and stay expectant. Service begins at 10:30am. Worker’s meeting is at 10:00am. God’s  blessing. — Mike
