Divine Lifting
Good morning brethren, I like to write on a topic “Divine lifting”. Our text scripture is Psalm 27:6 “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.” This verse announces a joyful celebration over the enemies, hence he started with “And now shall mine head be lifted …..” signifies victory over his adversaries. By divine lifting, we mean a celestial elevation of a man to a great height. It is a blessing and favour of God upon a man. God raises us above all our enemies and mockers, it is when God promotes us to a higher level in life. When God makes us the head and not the tail, an ordinary man is promoted and made to sit with honourable men. When God decides to lift a man, protocols are suspended and everything about him changes for good. He enjoys divine recognition and benefits, (2 Samuel 9:7-13), he becomes a candidate for honour, (Esther 6:10), he is raised above his equals, (Psalm 147:6), he is taking from zero to hero, from dust to throne, (Esther 2:7).
Like the Psalmist every believer is a candidate for divine lifting, scripture in 1 Corinthians 16:9 says “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries”. For every open doors in the life of a believer, there are adversaries and these adversaries contends for our inheritance in Christ. Hence we must resist them in prayers. Unfortunately in our world of today there are still men like Haman and Pharaoh that are fighting against our lifting especially by creating policies or laws to hinder God's purposes. Hannah prayed and God answered her (1 Samuel 1:19-20). Jabez prayed and God answered him (1 Chronicles 4:10).
In conclusion, there are important keys to divine lifting and these keys includes obedience, humility, being selfless, etc. On humility, the bible in Psalm 147:6 tells us that the Lord lifts the humble and teaches him His way. Humility is said to be the part way to spiritual progress, and also that God gives the humble abundant grace. The humble enjoys wisdom, favour and guidance from the Lord (Proverbs 11:2, 3:34).
