The Importance of the resurrection

Good morning brethren, I like to write on a topic “The important of Jesus’s resurrection”. Jesus’s resurrection is the foundation upon which the Christian faith is built. It is not merely an event in history, but a living doctrine that provides the basis for our belief in salvation, the promise of eternal life, and the hope of future resurrection for all who believe. The resurrection not only validates Jesus’s deity but also fulfills the prophecies that foretold His suffering and rising again (Acts 17:2–3). Christ Himself predicted that He would be raised on the third day (Mark 8:31), and His resurrection confirmed that His words were true. As Apostle Paul powerfully states, “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith” (1 Corinthians 15:14). Without the resurrection, the gospel would be powerless, our sins would remain unforgiven, and the Christian faith would be in vain. But because Jesus rose, our faith stands firm. Jesus’s resurrection also testifies to God’s infinite power. The One who created the universe has authority over life and death. Only God can remove the sting of death and bring victory over the grave (1 Corinthians 15:54–55). Furthermore, the resurrection affirms Jesus’s sinless character and divine nature. As Paul proclaimed in Acts 13:38–39, “Through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin.”

Jesus’s resurrection also assures us of our own future resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:20). This hope sets Christianity apart from all other religions. Every other religious founder died and remained in the grave. But Jesus, the Son of God, conquered death and now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven (Hebrews 10:12). Because He lives, we too shall live. This truth should impact our daily lives and service to God. As Paul exhorted in 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” The resurrection gives every believer victory. Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), securing eternal life for all who trust in Him. It proves that Jesus is who He claimed to be and that God has accepted His sacrifice on our behalf. This guarantees that the bodies of believers will not remain dead, but will be resurrected to eternal life.

In conclusion, let us celebrate the risen Christ. Let us boldly speak of Jesus to our relatives, friends, and neighbours. He is alive, and His resurrection changes everything. Service holds at 10:30am and workers meeting is at 10:00am. God’s blessings – Mike
