The Secret to Grow your Faith (Part 2)
I like to write on Part 2 of the “The secret to grow your faith.” In Part one, I wrote that according to Romans 12:3 Apostle Paul said God has assigned a measure of faith to everyone, understanding that faith is first a gift every believers receives (for justification), when a person is born again, God gives that person gifts as a new member of the family of God. We receive the gifts according to the measure that God has given us, and we exercise the gifts according to the same measure of faith. Please remember that faith is a seed, and hence we must feed our faith with the Word of God. Know that what you do in life will often be a reflection of what you have learned, therefore we exercises our faith by our actions (John 8:38). Believers desire should be for their deeds to reflect God’s instructions, the Psalmist in Psalm 119:5 says, “Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect Your decrees!”
Please remember that faith will be inactive if not put to action (James 2:17), so faith (believes in God’s Word) and actions (provoking faith into the natural realm), they work together, James 2:22 says “You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.” As believers it is important to remember that we will be rewarded for our faithful actions, Revelation 22:12 says “Behold, I Am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.” If you desires your faith to grow, speak to your faith, 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “I spoke because I believed.” In the same spirit of faith we also speak because we believe.” When a believer becomes bold in his faith, doors of opportunity will open for him (1 Timothy 3:13). To grow in faith, you must be free from negativity as faith and doubt cannot live in the same house (James 1:6). When doubt leaves our lives, God will present us with unlimited opportunities (Matthew 21:21). To get rid of doubt, James 4:7 says “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. To grow your faith you must believe all things are possible with God (Luke 1:37), never give place to fear in your life so it does not prevent you from operating in faith. It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). To grow in faith we are encouraged to share our faith with other believers. Philemon 1:6 says “As you share the faith you have in common with others, I pray that you may come to have a complete knowledge of every blessing we have in Christ.” Believers should endeavour to tell the world who Jesus is, what He has done and what He is doing, 1 Chronicles 16:9 says that we are to “broadcast all His wonders.”
Lastly, to grow in your faith you must discuss your faith and pray in faith, by constantly reading and studying God’s words. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” In conclusion, pray that God, give you the faith and courage to share the gospel with others. Pray that God help you to trust in His will and surrender your own desires to God. Service is for 10.30am and workers meeting is for 10am. God’s blessings
