Spiritual Warfare
Good morning brethren, I like to write on what I have termed “Spiritual Warfare on dealing with the Haman’s spirit in our lives”. I wrote on Prayer and fasting last week, therefore I am believing that it will be beneficial to touch on spiritual warfare during this period. 1 Peter 1:8 says “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” And as believers we know that “the weapons of our warfare that are not carnal and are mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). As we trust God to achieve the best of 2025, hence we should not overlook the spirit of Haman within us. This spirit is best in plotting evil and must be identified, it may be working in the lives of a close friend or relative and as believers we must destroy the spirit.
The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 2:11 that "we must not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy.” Unfortunately today some people may already have been going through some mishaps, be it threat of being relieved from your workplace, or on the verge of repossession of your home, or even your health condition deteriorating. By the grace of God there is hope, Job 14: 7-9 says “For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. Though its root grow old in the earth, and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put out branches like a young plant.” Haman’s spirit exhibits pride, we see how Haman was power drunk, going around with shoulder high with everyone paying homage to him (Esther 3:2-4). This spirit (Haman spirit) is known to hijack the promotion of the quiet and innocent people especially believers. A believer in this situation would perhaps say “I live everything in the hands of God.” Haman’s spirit is also known to be vindictive, full of rage and being very angry. One with such spirit can go the length to employ any instrument of destruction against their victims (Esther 3:5). This spirit is very calculative, we read how Haman had planned the period to execute the Jews (Esther 3:7). As believers we need to understand time and strike at the right time before the enemy of our souls strikes. The Bible says redeeming the time because the days are evil" (Ephesians 5:16). The spirit is also known to be very cunning, we read how Haman was plotting the death of the Jews by endorsement or by writing (Esther 3:12-14). His intention was to get an irrevocable judgment. No matter the deteriorating condition your situation has gotten to, surely the Lord will deliver you in Jesus name.
Be encouraged with God’s words through Moses in Exodus 14:13-14 “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still”. This spirit rejoices at the downfall or sorrows of those he or she hates, we read how Haman was celebrating ahead of the suggested day he planned to kill the Jews (Esther 3:15). In the name of Jesus any negative thing planned against you and your household is cancelled in Jesus name. Isaiah 49: 26 says “I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, Am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob." The Lord will give us victory over this spirit in Jesus name. Service is for 10.30am and workers meeting is for 10am. God’s blessings - Mike
