Dealing with the spiritual walls of Jericho
Good morning brethren, I like to write on what I have titled “Dealing with the spiritual walls of Jericho”. As today is the last Sunday of 2024, I like to advise that you address any negative things that could possibly want to follow you into 2025. For example there maybe some forces that you kept under siege or bandage but not completely destroyed, and because such forces could resurface to affect or obstruct you in some forms hence you must deal with them now. Our anchor scripture is Joshua 6:1-20. What are these spiritual walls of Jericho? They are those things that can stand between you and your moving forward, things that can obstruct your journey into breakthrough, those things that could stand between you and your next level. Anything standing between you and your destiny fulfilment or your great testimonies. That intimidating enemy whose agendas is to block your potential or your lifting. Those stronghold trying to prevent you from possessing your possession or stop your progress in life. By the way there are few lessons to learn from the Scripture of Joshua chapter 6, for example one first lesson is the act of obedience.
The Israelites obeyed God even when they didn’t understand His ways “You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns.” (Joshua 6:3-4). Secondly, God’s plan requires the participation of His people, - marching around the town once a day for six days and on the seventh day, they marched around the town seven times. Another lesson to learn was the faith of the Israelites, “When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.” (Joshua 6:5). Please note that the people ‘shouted as loud as they could’, therefore how you pray could determine how your spiritual walls of Jericho will fall. Jericho did not fall by a quiet and gentle sound; rather it fell by a loud shout (Joshua 6:16). On this note may I suggest you pray different from the style you used to, perhaps let it be fire igniting through the Holy Spirit. The Israelites shouted and Jericho’s walls fell down flat, hence they were able to move forward. Perhaps this scenario will challenge us to pray better, often destiny helpers are placed in our lives to help us with life challenges. These persons may also be referred to as the drivers of the vehicles of your destiny, hence it is important who drives these vehicles of our destiny. If such a vehicle breaks down or becomes faulty then you will experience hiccups, delay or negative progress in life. Sometimes it could be that you have been working under a satanic boss at your office and this can seriously affect your success in life. Therefore you need to pray so you can enjoy your 2025 without fear or worrying.
May I conclude by asking you to pray these prayers:- whatever be a spiritual hall of Jericho that has been stopping me from moving forward is destroyed in Jesus name. I destroy every satanic agent that has been driving the vehicle of my destiny in the name of Jesus.
